I wish there were a better messaging app but I always seem to end up back here, gosms loads messages faster than stock and being able to have themes makes it even better.
linkHave you tried Handcent? I'm actually thinking of switching to that myself. Go products seem to lag my phone.

linkwell my only issue with the other SMS apps is the ui tbh go has the cleanest but at the same time if you don't run it on lite mode and block gosms spam it's a double edged sword, I am honestly waiting for the next big SMS app to divorce this...

linkI've tried Handcent and it seems the only difference between that and Go is the font packages. Go just seems to have a little bit more varioin that department. Maybe there are differences I'm missing?

linkAnimated is cool but it's also intrusive if you're a power user like myself. Good example for major holidays if you say the name of the holiday you get some animation.
linkEh, I could do without those. That and when a new theme comes out, Go spams my phone with a text ad and the image of said theme is already saved in my gallery. I just never got around to seeing if I could turn those off. To each their own if ya like 'em, though. :-)

linkYa i was just going to suggest trying sliding messenger. I tried it, but i really enjoy the fobby goodness of go sms themes lol. So I'm back on that now.
linkIf cute and candy themes are what you want gosms is for you. Sliding uses the stock Android SMS look and give it a nice touch with the sliding function. It is always being improved as well

linkSliding Messaging is cool, but still has some bugs for those not on Android 4.2. (e.g., quick reply pop-up displaying old messages). Regular updates though and attentive, responsive developer. In meantime, I'm using Chomp SMS.
linkTrue, the popup bug even is with 4.2 but it is a minor compliant. The developer is responsive and hopefully it will be resolved soon. Chomp is a good choice for those still with ICS, although the design is dated.

I love GO everything, but I hate this whole getjar gold stuff.. where I have to download apps I don't want in order to download a theme I like. they need to change that.
linkI agree. I miss gosms very much, but wont download it on my new device for that very reason. Its ridiculous.
