linkNo its not better because shazam database is bigger but soundhound do the job I dont have google ear because it need ICS but people says good things about it.
linkI downloaded Google Ear but seem not to be able to access it. I have found that soundhound gets your results a lot faster then Shazam
linkSound Hound is fastest than shazam but some songs can't find but shazam do so I use them both
