Enable TeslaUnread in Nova Launcher or WidgetLocker Settings > Unread Counts.

Wish it had notifications for calendar and task apps.
linkI think if enough people ask they will update it to include those. But those would be nice to see

You need either nova prime or widgetlocker.. Both are paid apps
